It’s impossible to say too many good things about my photography shoot experience with Oksana. What I loved most about working with her is that she made sure I was extremely well-prepared so we maximized our time together, which ultimately paid off because I got all the images I was hoping for!
We had a prep call which was very helpful and ultimately what made it such a good shoot. Oksana recommended I create a Pinterest board of the images I wanted, and it was so so helpful to help me get very clear on my vision for the shoot. She encouraged me to identify what I liked about each image (the flowers, the smile, the outfit, the background, etc.), so that we could make sure I could recreate it. I prepared a Google document at her recommendation for each look, the props, etc., and we had it as a reference for the entire shoot. We were able to move seamlessly from each look, do quick setup, and confirm during the shoot we got the right images.
On the day of the shoot, she arrived right on time, and we worked tirelessly that day until we could definitely say we got all the shots we wanted! Even without Oksana being a wonderful person, her talent alone would’ve made it worth hiring her. She gave me a lot of direction (I hate being in front of a camera), made sure each fabric photographed well, made sure the lighting was flattering, made sure my clothes were well-fitting and flattering, all the things I needed! She worked very well with my makeup artist and hair stylist who were with us.
Talent aside, Oksana is wonderful, sophisticated and also FUN! It’s been a wildly unpredictable year with a lot of heaviness. Yet we laughed all day long! It was amazing to spend the day with incredibly talented women, end up with all the photos I needed for months to come, and also to laugh until we (almost—mustn’t let makeup run!) cried!
Then came the (very short) anticipation (did the photos come out OK? What if I don’t look good in any of them?) before we had a zoom call to walk through the final photos. I was (and still am) in awe of her talent! She captured all the best things and minimized anything I wouldn’t like. The final result was a polished, high-resolution portfolio of gorgeous photos I can repurpose for a long time to come!
